A performance by Them Coulee Boys, a folk-rock band from Wisconsin, will wrap up the festival on Sunday afternoon. SOA’s national headliners include Jeremy Kittel with Kittel & Co, a Grammy-nominated violinist, fiddler and composer on Friday, and Asleep at the Wheel, a 10-time Grammy-winning Americana Western swing group on Saturday night.

Yesterday, festival organizers announced that they’re hosting roughly 90 visual artists and bringing in many national and local acts to perform on the free festival’s main stage. You’re sure to enjoy the music from two stages, which showcase a variety of well-known jazz musicians and up-and-coming talent alongside national and international artists to encourage and educate a jazz audience of all ages.
The Summer of the Arts’ Iowa Arts Festival is back for its 40th year and will take place the first weekend in June in downtown Iowa City. Come down for three days of live jazz performances and delicious dishes.
